Tenshi is the 2023 recipient of the ASA Social Psychology Section’s Graduate Student Investigator Award, which “provides support for an innovative and outstanding research project that makes a significant contribution to social psychological scholarship

Her superb research agenda concerning emotions and affect control theory, her commitment to the section and the field of Emotions, and so many other of her contributions to the understanding of emotions have made this year’s committee decision very easy.

Dr. Pridemore’s main research interests include the effects of social structure, alcohol, and policy on violence, health, and mortality. He has published over 110 peer-reviewed articles, with many appearing in top tier journals in sociology, criminology, public health, and drug use.
