Jun Zhao has accepted a post-doctoral position in the Program in Quantitative Social Science, Dartmouth College. Becca Hanson has accepted a tenure track assistant professor position in the Department of Sociology and Criminology and Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Ashleigh McKinzie has just accepted a tenure-track assistant professorship in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Middle Tennessee State University.

Congratulations to our new PhD students who graduated Spring 2017- Ashleigh McKinzie and Jeff Gardner. We wish them the very best in their careers.

William Finlay has been selected as the recipient of  UGA's Office of International Education Study Abroad Award.  He is being recognized for his major contributions to study abroad at UGA over the past 25 years.
