Kylie Smith was awarded the 2022 American Sociological Association’s Section on Social Psychology Graduate Student Investigator Award

Kylie Smith, a 4th year graduate student here at the University of Georgia, is the recipient of the 2022 American Sociological Association’s Section on Social Psychology Graduate Student Investigator Award for her project, The award comes with a $1.500 dollar monetary award which Smith will use to fund her project “Do Online Avatars Transfer Status: An Exploration of Status Characteristics Theory." She was also selected to receive a grant of $500 for the same project from the University of Georgia’s Center for Research and Engagement in Diversity.
