Have you or someone you know created original scholarship advancing the interests of underrepresented or underserved students and communities? Planned and/or coordinated volunteer efforts in the local Athens community or their home communities? Created and/or promoted original content (e.g., podcasts, videos, fliers) that highlights contributions to the goals of community service and public engagement? We want to know! The Department of Sociology is proud to offer two undergraduate awards that highlight students who are working to promote community service and public engagement. Winners will each receive $250 and a certificate, presented at the Sociology convocation ceremony in spring semester 2026.
