Overview of work, workers, and their worlds in contemporary life. Focuses on professions and professionalization; career; recruitment and socialization to work; the intersection of gender, family, and work; satisfaction; well being, and "dirty work." Non-traditional format: This course is also offered through University System of Georgia Independent Study (USGIS).
Course will not be offered on a regular basis.
