Xiaoli Su is currently a Ph. D. candidate at the University of Georgia. Her specialty area is Crime, Law, and Deviance. Specifically, she is interested in the mechanisms whereby family processes (e.g., parenting and interparental aggression) induce or inhibit youth’s delinquent behavior. In her dissertation, she examines the changeability of individuals’ criminality up to early adulthood and the role of effective parenting in explaining the changes in individuals’ criminality and offending up to early adulthood. Through her research, Xiaoli aims to provide some guiding information for the prevention of both juvenile delinquency and abusive parenting.
